Withdrawal and refunds
Refund Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026 · contracts concluded through the online payment page
This policy governs the right of withdrawal and the refund of payments for contracts concluded through the online payment page of Markus Nissl Consulting GmbH. The customer's contracting party is Paddle.com Market Ltd. as Merchant of Record. Markus Nissl Consulting GmbH provides the service and receives declarations of withdrawal. Consulting engagements agreed and invoiced directly are governed by the Terms and Conditions, not by this policy.
1. Right of withdrawal
Consumers within the meaning of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act (Konsumentenschutzgesetz, KSchG) have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving reasons. The period begins on the day the contract is concluded. Dispatching the declaration before the period expires is sufficient.
Business customers have no right of withdrawal. Any accommodation of a business customer is granted as a matter of goodwill in the individual case and creates no legal entitlement.
2. Exercising the right of withdrawal
Withdrawal is declared by an unequivocal statement, for example by email to contact@markusnissl.com or by letter to Markus Nissl Consulting GmbH, Siegesplatz 17/1/15, 1220 Vienna, Austria, quoting the order number on the invoice. We forward the withdrawal to Paddle and settle the refund with Paddle. Withdrawal may also be declared directly to Paddle through the link in the invoice.
3. Commencement of the service before expiry of the withdrawal period
The service commences once Paddle has confirmed the payment, and therefore before the withdrawal period expires. The customer expressly requests this during the order process and acknowledges that, in the event of withdrawal, the proportionate amount attributable to the service already provided is payable.
4. Consequences of withdrawal
In the event of withdrawal, the payments made are refunded less the proportion attributable to the service provided up to receipt of the declaration (§ 16 of the Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act, Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetz, FAGG). For subscriptions, that proportion is the part of the paid term that has elapsed. For services sold as a defined quantity, it is the quantity used. In all other cases it is the service provided relative to the whole service agreed. If no service has been provided, the full amount is refunded.
5. Repayment
Repayment is made by Paddle within the statutory period, using the same means of payment as the original payment. The date on which the amount is credited depends on the customer's payment service provider. If the payment was made in a currency other than the one charged, the exchange rate applied to the repayment is determined by the customer's payment service provider. Differences resulting from exchange rates are not borne by Markus Nissl Consulting GmbH or Paddle.
6. Cancellation of a subscription
Cancellation is distinct from withdrawal. It is possible at any time, takes effect at the end of the term already paid for and creates no entitlement to a refund for the current term. If cancellation is declared within the withdrawal period, the provisions on withdrawal apply to the current term.
7. Warranty
Warranty claims are unaffected by this policy and are not bound to the withdrawal period. They are governed by the Terms and Conditions.
8. Relationship to Paddle's terms
Paddle's refund policy and buyer terms apply in addition to this policy. Mandatory consumer protection law of the country in which the consumer is resident remains unaffected.
This policy is published in German and English. In case of discrepancies between the two versions, the German version shall prevail.
